Isabela’s music program at school – she rocked it! she was excited and not nervous at all. She really enjoyed being on stage, singing, dancing and pretending to play guitar. I loved it! her music teacher is great!

I’m joining one of my favorite photographers, Tara Whitney, on a project to photograph our family once a month. I started it in January but just now decided to post it. I might go back and post jan/feb. As I was writing this, I realized that there is not one single picture of me this month. I really need to work on that!
This is probably my favorite time of the year, when is not cold/not hot outside. Spring is everywhere, so are my allergies!!! Soon it will be extra hot here in tx.
Started construction! of our patio, that is! We’ve been in this house for years and always wanted to do it. It’s finally starting. Nothing fancy, just a nice covered patio so we can have some shade on our backyard. Which by the way has turned into mud land in a few hours with all the digging!
It took me a while to figure out what to do with the dog. He can’t go outside or he will run to the mud.
Open house at school. They are always so excited when we go and look at all their work. Love to see what they’ve done all year. It’s also good to meet some other parents. They are learning about the oceans. Isabela’s class worked on a really cool mural for the hallway and a class book which she wrote about penguins. Carolina wrote a book about Orca Whales. It really surprised me. Her illustrations and all the detail was just amazing! I didn’t know she could draw whales like that!
Found a cupcake store close to our home. Isabela was in heaven!! She wants to be a pastry chef!
Went to the beach on spring break and had a great time. How can you not have a great time at the beach? We were there with a great friend. Her daughter is 4 and loves playing with my girls. Carolina will be a good baby sitter when she is older! Had a really relaxing weekend.
Carolina turned 9. Cupcakes for breakfast! Nutella cupcakes that is! It was the BEST!! Thanks to Thaty. We had a great day at the beach and the hotel pool. Dinner at Rainforest Cafe. She was so happy! She wanted a volcano but was really embarrassed when they sang happy birthday and asked her to stand up!
Had one rainy afternoon so we headed to the Aquarium. Not much to do with 3 kids in a hotel!! It was really good! Isabela liked seeing the penguins which was her choice of animal for her book at school. She even found some penguin footprints at the gift shop! They all loved seeing all the sharks and “nemo” and “crush” and “mr ray”!!! Sure enough we had to watch Finding Nemo that evening!!
We heard from some friends that it was snowing again in Frisco! at the end of March? seriously? Came back home on Sunday and still had some snow on our backyard. It was interesting! Beach to snow in a few hours!
The patio is done! It looks great! I love it!

this is one of those thing that you just realize how much you miss it when you don’t have it anymore.
I grew up close to the beach – it was always there – just about 20 min away. And I never liked it. My dad used to take us on the weekends and I really didn’t like it. It was hot and I didn’t like to get into the car to come home full of sand and salt water… that and the fact that we didn’t have sunscreen back then!!!! definitely a problem for me with my natural “tan” hahahah!
Then we move to texas. And we have kids! Just seeing how much fun they have at the beach makes me miss it, a lot! It was spring break here last week and we went to the beach for the first time in TX. Sure it is nothing like I used to go and people keep reminding me of that! but it was a beach! still a little chili at the end of march, but there is nothing better than waking up to a beautiful sunrise and listening to the waves. Nothing better than seeing my girls so happy just because we are at the beach! We had a great time!

I definitely need one of these signs! maybe more, all over the house, so when the kids are driving me crazy
I’ll have a reminder to just relax and get the camera!! haha!!!
